Keep6ix to Host Stop the Gun Violence Concert – Harmony Over Violence: A Concert for Change in Partnership with Peel Regional Police and the Toronto Raptors

Mississauga, ON – Keep6ix is hosting a Stop the Gun Violence Concert at Mississauga Celebration Square Amphitheatre on Friday, June 7, 2024, from 3:00pm – 7:00pm in partnership with the Peel Regional Police and the Toronto Raptors. The concert will feature talented local artists and prominent community leaders including Dr. Pamela Appelt and Mississauga rapper D.O Gibson

“Harmony Over Violence is more than just a concert, it’s a platform for change, a symbol of hope, and a united stand against gun violence,” said Richard Miller, Founder of Keep6ix. “By coming together as a community, we can create a safer and more harmonious future for all.”

With the first Friday of June recognized as the National Day Against Gun Violence, the community is encouraged to come together in solidarity against gun violence, for an evening of music, art and insightful speakers that aim to inspire positive change.

Deputy Chief Mark Andrews and Staff Superintendent Hubert Hiltz from the Peel Regional Police will speak to the commitment, from law enforcement to community safety and share initiatives to address gun violence.  Concert attendees will be encouraged to pledge their commitment to stop gun violence by supporting community programs like those aimed at empowering youth and teaching conflict resolution skills.
